One day tour

Journey to Alexandria, the “Ancient Queen of the Mediterranean,” via air-conditioned coach along the desert highway (approximately 2.5 hours).

Your exploration of Alexandria begins at the Catacombs, the largest known Roman burial site in Egypt. Descend 35 meters into the rock-cut tombs and chambers, a complex dating back to the 2nd century AD, which once held over 300 individual tombs and even featured a banquet hall for funeral feasts.

Next, visit the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a modern marvel that successfully echoes the grandeur of Alexandria’s ancient library, one of antiquity’s most important centers of learning.

Discover the only Roman Amphitheater in Egypt, a remarkably well-preserved structure uncovered during recent construction work. Its semi-circular terraces offer a glimpse into Roman entertainment.

Enjoy lunch at a traditional restaurant with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea.

Admire the Qait Bay Fort (from the outside), a 15th-century Mamluk fortress strategically located at the entrance to the Eastern Harbour. Built upon the foundations of the legendary Pharos lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the fort encompasses both a castle and a mosque.

Finally, return to Cairo by air-conditioned bus.
